Trillium Valley Financial Planning, LLC, (TVFP) was founded in 2009 to help you and your family establish a strong financial footing, no matter your level of income or assets. The first step is to listen and fully understand your needs, goals and dreams. Only after that step is a comprehensive financial plan built to help guide you on the path to achieving your unique situation and goals.
As an independent, fee-only financial planner and registered investment advisor, TVFP’s fiduciary responsibility is strictly and solely to the client. That means the greatest responsibility is to always act in the client’s best interest and to provide personalized plans specific for you goals and needs.
TVFP is an independent, fee-only financial planning firm serving clients in the greater Portland metropolitan area, the Willamette Valley and the Oregon Coast. Fees are based either on a project basis or on a flat hourly rate.
Andy’s background and experience
Andy Tilp, CFP®, founded Trillium Valley Financial Planning, LLC by combining his passion to help individuals with his 30 years of experience as an engineer analyzing and solving complex problems. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, a MS in Computer Science, and received an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Portland.
In addition to helping his clients, Andy helps the next generation start on a solid financial footing by teaching a Personal Finance course at a local high school and Portland State University. He is available to conduct workshops on a variety of financial topics at your workplace, school and for civic and religious organizations.
Andy’s professional affiliations include the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, NAPFA, and Garrett Planning Network. His life experiences include serving 4-years in the US Air Force and living abroad for 3 years.
In his spare time, Andy and his wonderful wife Janet of 33 years own and operate a small farm outside of Sherwood, Oregon, where they raise Pygora goats and actively support 4H activities within the community.
