Encompass Financial Advisors, Inc.
I am the principal of Encompass Financial Advisors, Inc., which is a financial planning and investment advisory firm located in Beaverton.
I understand that life decisions are driven by many needs and motivations and that finances are just one of them. This is why I will view your situation from both a financial and a personal perspective. I’ll ask you questions and listen carefully to your answers, then partner with you to help you develop and achieve your dreams and goals. I will also ensure that your investment portfolio is structured to meet your risk tolerance.
I remember sitting on the client side of the table years ago, trying to decipher what my financial advisor was saying. I found myself wondering (perhaps like you) how everything would fit together to meet my needs and goals. In fact, my dissatisfaction with the sales process, plus a long-term interest in investing and financial planning, led me to change careers. I have been a financial and investment advisor since 1991 and fee-only since 1993.
If you need help from a specialist, such as a tax attorney or insurance expert, I will help you find the appropriate professional(s) and work with them as a team to help you accomplish your objectives. I will help you cut through the clutter, explain what the talking heads mean or aren’t saying, and work with you to evaluate your options and map a financial path that is appropriate for you.
My background and experience
I have a BA in Psychology from Pitzer College with an emphasis on Organizational Psychology, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. I earned my CFP designation from the College for Financial Planning.
In my “spare” time, I like to read mysteries (but not Stephen King!), garden, play ukulele (not well but I try), find and use fountain pens (those from the 1930’s and 40’s are the best), and enjoy our small one-eyed dog with food allergies and separation anxiety.
